Biography

Arthur D. Levy, CPA is a retired Partner at J.H. Cohn, LLP, the largest independent accounting and business consulting firm in the Northeast and one of the top 20th largest in the United States. As a partner, Mr. Levy was in charge of J.H. Cohn’s family business practice and hospitality practice and was committed to helping small and closely held businesses meet their growth objectives and profit goals and plan tax strategies. Having more than 40 years of experience in the financial community, Mr. Levy was founder and managing partner of Arthur D. Levy & Co, a boutique certified public accounting and consulting firm where he used his wealth of knowledge to guide business owners in executing their goals that ultimately resulted in their achieving greater financial success. He is a graduate of New York University and is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Levy was also a co-founder and Chairman of the board for The Small and Family Business Foundation Inc. a not-for profit 501(c) (3) organization that addressed issues pertaining to family owned businesses. Family businesses sought Mr. Levy for his innovative and resourceful techniques and as an expert in his field he counseled them with their well being in mind and their correlation to the overall economic growth of the New York Metropolitan area and the country.
Mr. Levy was also the founder, owner and CEO of Soho Dance, Inc. a Latin ballroom dance studio. He is presently a co-owner of The Roart Group, LLC and a business counselor for the Fairfield County Chapter of SCORE. Along with his wealth of knowledge he is licensed by the State of Connecticut as a real estate appraiser.
Rosann G. Levy
Biography

Rosann G. Levy was President and Co-Founder of the Small and Family Business Foundation Inc, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) educational resource center for family owned businesses. Prior to founding the Small and Family Business Foundation, Inc. Rosann Levy was Director of Marketing and partner with her husband and son at Arthur D, Levy & Co., a boutique certified public accounting and business consulting firm specializing in small and family owned businesses. She has been driven by a strong commitment to helping small business grow and worked hands on with business owners in developing marketing programs and strategies to brand them and create an identity in the marketplace.
Ms. Levy was also a co-founder and partner of Soho Dance, Inc. a Latin ballroom dance studio in the heart of Manhattan. Using her talents she created “Team Building Through Dance,” “Let’s Dance Wellness,” and the “Soho Dance Challenge” making Soho Dance the hottest and most unique dance studio in New York City.
Appointed by former Mayor Koch, the New York City Office of Business Development, and the American Women’s Economic Development Corp., Ms. Levy mentored three women business owners.
She is a past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners, (NAWBO) New York Chapter. She was a founding board member of the New York Women’s Agenda, a member of the Small Business Committee of the New York Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an active member of the New York Society of Association Executives. She was named the “happeneur” by the President of the National Speaker’s Association because she made things happen. As a charter member of Big Apple Toastmasters she sat on their board as VP of Public Relations.
She was published in Family Business Magazine on “Growing the Family, Growing the Marriage,” and is presently writing her memoir, It’s Never Too Late To Dance.”
